A message from our founder
Build lighter. Build cooler. Build to last.
When I started Perlite India, one thing troubled me on every site I visited: we were putting tonnes of brickbat, sand and cement on our roofs and floors that the building never needed. Heavy fills that crack, hold water and add load to every beam and column. Roofs that heat up the rooms below them all summer. Floors that settle and need repair within a few years.
There is a better way, and India has been slow to use it. Perlite is a natural volcanic mineral. Expanded and mixed into concrete, it gives a fill that is a fraction of the weight, keeps heat out, does not burn, does not rot and lasts as long as the building.
Our mission is simple:
Retire brickbat coba from Indian roofs, terraces and sunk slabs.
Make buildings lighter, so structures use less steel and cement.
Keep buildings cooler, so they need less air-conditioning every single year.
Give floors that stay level, with screeds and fills that take tiles, screws and drywall tracks directly.
Keep innovating, from insulating plaster to new grades and faster ways of laying on site, so that sustainable construction is also the practical choice.
Over 3 million sq ft later, across hospitals, an airport, IT parks, factories, resorts and homes, I am more convinced than ever. Every square foot we lay is weight the building does not carry and heat the people inside do not feel.
